Literacy in Junior and Senior Infants

New Junior Infants will be busy learning their new sounds. You can listen to group 1 sound songs below. We practice these at school and like to play games to identify words that begin with our new sound. You will find the sounds we have learned so far in your child's sound folder. Practice them every evening and use the sound cards to build words.
Senior Infants are very busy revising their sounds, in particular digraphs (two letters making one sound), letter formation and reading skills. We have our literacy stations up and running so all children have a chance to read, develop fine motor skills, handwriting skills and integrate use our iPads every day.
